Privacy Policy
This is a personal site. I don’t sell your personal data, and the data I do collect — analytics, advertising measurement, embeds, and comments — is described below.
Last updated: June 8, 2026
What’s collected and why
- Theme preference: Your light/dark choice is stored in "localStorage" in your browser and it's not used for tracking.
- Google Analytics (GA4): Used to understand which content is useful.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: Loads on every page to measure visits that come from my LinkedIn marketing, build retargeting audiences, and provide aggregate demographics. It can set cookies and shares data such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view with LinkedIn. You can opt out in your LinkedIn ad settings.
- Booking (Cal.com): The "Schedule" buttons open a Cal.com scheduling window embedded on the page. Loading it connects to cal.com, which may set cookies. If you book a call, the details you enter (such as your name and email) are processed by Cal.com to create the meeting.
- YouTube embeds: Some articles include embedded videos using YouTube's no-cookies domain (youtube-nocookie.com) to minimize tracking. However, YouTube may still set cookies or use local storage identifiers and, if you're signed in to Google, associate playback with your account.
- Comments (Giscus → GitHub): Giscus does not set cookies for anonymous users. When you sign in to comment, GitHub may set authentication cookies. Comments load and are published via GitHub Discussions. Your comment and GitHub username may be public on GitHub.
The analytics and marketing items above (Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag) only load after you allow them in the cookie banner. Nothing in those two categories runs until you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
